Hardware in Loop (HIL) Systems Engineer (Indefinite US Work Authorization Required)

Job Responsibilities:
Design and maintain Hardware in Loop system architecture and strategies for testing software embedded systems
Design and implement Simulink models for interfacing to HIL system hardware and communication networks (CAN)
Design, document, and maintain HIL I/O schematics for hardware and wire harnesses which interface to ECUs and other electrical components
Develop test automation scripts within HIL frameworks, or externally, to support automated testing
Lead investigation and resolution efforts of any HIL related issues in timely manner
Design and develop specific HIL testing to evaluate that the system design integrity and performance conform to company and industry standards
Develop metrics and reports necessary to communicate the status of system to management and ensure that test documentation complies with any relevant traceability requirements
Onsite Work: A reasonable commute is necessary since mostly onsite work is required. Crown offers limited hybrid remote work for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related (Or related Associate degree with 6 years compensating experience)
Good written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Ability to occasionally travel with overnight stays
Reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday
Preferred Qualifications:
2 or more years of experience testing embedded systems strongly preferred (Salary will be commensurate with experience)
Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Hardware in Loop
Experience with dSPACE tools
Experience with C, C++, Python
Strong background in Electromechanical or CAN based systems
Ability to read and understand electrical/electronic drawings and diagrams
Experience with task management and version control software (JIRA, GitHub)
